Glitter Shoes

For all the holiday parties, I really wanted some glitter shoes.  I had seen tons of tutorials and ideas on pinterest.  I have probably about 23 pairs of black shoes in my closet and I only wear about 3 of them so I thought I would take 1 of the pair and "glitter" them.  At first I wanted silver.  I love the bold look but at the last minute I always chicken out.  So I decided on black glitter shoes.

I followed the tutorial from Not Martha

I took some 5 year old Target shoes out of my closet and made the taped them up real good.

I made the mod podge/glittler mix and went to work.

DIY Glitter Shoes

What do you think?  I like them and they are still really comfortable.  Not like the time that I mod podged fabric on my shoes and they wouldn't even bend.

If I were to do it again (and I just might), I would just put the glue and then sprinkle on the glitter and repeat that process.  I think it would have covered quicker and thicker.
