My girls are 4 years old and they kind of know how to use the phone. Recently I've been checking books out at the library that are about child safety to read to them. I think it is great they have so many good books for them. However, I hadn't taught them something simple like dialing 911. Our home phone is a little confusing because you have to press the [Talk] button after you dial the number. So I thought I would come up with something graphical for the kids to follow.
I then laminated the picture and taped it to the wall next to the phone.
Luckily we haven't had to use it but I think it is a good for emergencies for young kinds instead of just posting the numbers 911.
What a great idea!

That's Probably a good idea. I've been thinking about that with my 4 year old too.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a fabulous idea.... Yes.. rather be careful.. You make me think, I should probably keep my seven year old informed too..
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! My kids are a little older, and I'm not sure they'd know how to use my phone to dial--even though they can use it for games and netflix :)
